Ecotherapy Allotment Volunteer

Description of the role:

Get Up and Grow with Suffolk Mind Allotment projects is a service for people who experience mild to moderate depression, anxiety and other common mental health problems. For people who are in recovery and who want to help build emotional resilience as a preventative measure.

We run several allotment projects throughout Suffolk and are currently looking for groups of volunteers who are interested in making a one-time visit to one of the allotments to help the current participants and volunteers make progress on large projects or tasks that are planned for the summer.

What skills are needed?

Volunteer groups would need to be physically able to participate in lifting, weeding, planting.

What skills will be learned / gained?

In the opportunity volunteers will learn more about the local community services and experience first hand how the project supports emotional wellbeing.
