Aldeburgh Visitor Information Volunteer

Description of the role:

Aldeburgh Cinema Trust has a contract with Suffolk Coastal District Council to provide a Visitor Information Service located at the Cinema. It is now looking to recruit additional volunteers to join our enthusiastic and committed team who provide a welcoming and informative service to all visitors.
Volunteers will provide a friendly and warm welcome to visitors, and provide information primarily via literature, a public computer terminal and personal knowledge.
The Visitor Information Service is open all-year, including bank holidays and weekends.

What skills are needed?

A keen interest in Aldeburgh and surrounding areas, together with a willingness to develop tourism knowledge of the region.
Excellent communication skills and a pleasant customer-focused manner.
The ability to maintain good working relationships with other volunteers and work collaboratively.
An interest in the Arts (film, theatre, opera, ballet etc) is helpful.

A development of local knowledge and contacts.
