Non Executive Directors and Trustees

Description of the role:

We are seeking to strengthen our current board with the addition of two new members who will, as well as performing a governance role, also provide practical assistance and support to permanent staff and volunteers.
People decide their own commitment but as a minimum you should expect, as a minimum, 12 to 14 hours per month

What skills are needed?

Specifically one individual who could contribute to our marketing strategy including advertising, graphic design, PR, market research and development of core customers.
The other to develop our fundraising expertise including including sponsorship of events, researching funders, contributing to tender applications, developing commercial partnerships and maximising the involvement of our audiences

What skills will be learned / gained?

Working in an artistic, creative and friendly environment with lots of opportunities to make a difference. As well as passing on your expertise to our staff and volunteers you will be able to take on specific projects and both lead and be a member of a variety of subcommittees

The Quay Theatre seats 125 patrons in a beautiful, historic, Grade II listed building. We present a diverse programme of professional and community theatrical performances; including drama, dance, music, comedy and film. WE resent live stream cinema and, on a regular basis, show a variety of recent and vintage cinematic releases. We work to provide opportunities for the young and for those with learning difficulties, to develop their life skills through movement and drama. Furthermore we provide gallery space for local artists and a comfortable an spacious bar for customers.
