Activities Volunteer

Description of the role:

We are looking for volunteers to build positive relationships with the people we support and to support them in a wide range of activities alongside our staff team.

This could include volunteering in our furniture recycling workshops; assisting with craft activities such as sewing or card making etc; and supporting our cooking and art groups. It could also involve accessing the local community to visit local galleries, the outdoor gym or library.

You may choose to share a particular skill that you have or to generally get involved in whatever is going on – the choice is yours.

We have a shop where we sell the furniture items we have recycled/refurbished and the craft products that we have made. There is a workshop at the rear of the shop and another premises in Halesworth which we use for some activities.

You can choose to volunteer for a set time on a set day (e.g. every Wednesday morning) or you can choose to volunteer on a more flexible basis.

At the Halesworth Day Service, we support up to 12 adults, Monday to Friday, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
