Description of the role:

Assistant Beaver Leader to help the Beaver Leader provide a balanced programme for 6-8 year olds.

Opportunity Activities: Administration, Community Work, Mentoring, Teaching, Training and Coaching, Youth Work

What skills are needed?

Beavers are full of fun and enjoy an adventure. You will have the ability to communicate with 6-8 year olds. If you have a work or hobbies experience you can bring to the colony, that would be helpful

What skills will be learned / gained?

The Scout Association has a formal training programme, some is self training and some at an Academy environment. The courses will give you the opportunities of gaining knowledge in First Aid, Safeguarding and many more scouting and organisational skills. You can also receive training for activities like kayaking, archery and abseiling etc, which will allow you to gain a permit to teach others.
