Assington Amblers walk leader

Share
Description of the role:

Volunteer walkers please!! It would be lovely to start a friendly, local walking group in Assington to enable local people to get to know each other and to get a little gentle exercise. The walk would be monthly at first but could develop if the volunteers and participants were keen to do more. Walkers would meet outside the Farm Shop and return there after the walk for optional refreshments. This would be a good chance for volunteers to help people in their own village and they would be part of 'This Community Can!' which is backed by Sport England and aims to tackle rural isolation. Volunteers will be fully supported and will become part of a Suffolk-wide project.
