We are a small registered charity based in Lowestoft looking for dedicated enthusiastic people to join our Board of Trustees. Our aim is to reach families impacted by domestic abuse to ensure they are well supported and can move forward to lead lives free from abuse. The trustees meet on a monthly basis, at the moment these meetings are held in the day time, either by virtual conferencing or face to face meetings. This can be changed to suit the needs of the board. We would welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.

We are looking to increase the diversity of the board, particularly in areas of finance, governance, fund raising, legal services and secretarial duties.
Skills are not essential only the enthusiasm to learn, have forward thinking ideas and work as part of a team.
The charity was formed some 40 years ago and has moved from strength to strength. We work closely with other agencies both in the statuary and voluntary sector. As a forum we have 147 individual members and hold bi-monthly forum meetings. These are usually well attended with approx. 30 people in attendance. Here we share information and any new scheme or programmes that may be offered around the district. We support and/or offer individual services and programmes such as Trauma Therapy, The Caring Dads programme, The Freedom programme and many more.
We support men, women and families affected by domestic and all types of abuse and are based in the South Lowestoft area. We are seeking volunteers to help with the administration of the organisation and to help through out the year, organise, and attend raising awareness campaigns.
