Description of the role:

The IP3 Ipswich Good Neighbour Scheme has exciting plans for the future to be a great support to this area of Ipswich. To support what we want to do, we need to increase the income of the scheme. The Fundraising Lead will lead a team of other volunteers looking for new ways to raise money whether this be events, grant applications or other initiatives. They will also be part of the scheme committee which meets once a month, currently on Zoom which steers the overall plan for the scheme

What skills are needed?

Ideally you will have some previous experience of fundraising . You will be a person of the highest integrity. You will have passion for what you are doing and an ideas person. As you will lead a team of other volunteers, it is also important that you are a friendly people person but also confident in your own abilities to make decisions when needed

Team leadership, Teamwork, community fundraising

Organisation Profile:

The purpose is to help residents in the IP3 Area of Ipswich with activities such as shopping, collecting prescriptions and odd jobs. We also offer befriending to lonely residents currently by telephone but hopefully face to face at a later date. We will also be setting up work parties for larger jobs. The group also intends to promote community through events and we also have a hardship fund available where needed.
