The IP3 Ipswich Good Neighbour Scheme grew out of the Covid Pandemic and has exciting plans for the future. We need to develop our online presence in the area. We currently have a Facebook Group and Page which are mainly administered to the best of his abilities by the Scheme Chair. However we are looking for a Volunteer to take the lead on improving our use of these as mediums for communication and also developing a prescience for us with other Social Media, such as Twitter and Instagram. The volunteer would also work closely with the Website manager to help produce YouTube videos to support and promote the schemes work. The volunteer would also be on the schemes committee which steers the overall direction of what we are doing.
The Social media Lead will need to be a regular user of all the main Social Media platforms and confident in producing engaging posts and ensuring these are shown to the widest audience. Ideally they will be confident in Cross posting, scheduled posting and promotion where appropriate. You will be creative and very computer literate.
The volunteer will have experience in producing YouTube Videos or the aptitude and ability to learn the relevant skills as soon as possible.

High Level Social Media Engagement
The purpose is to help residents in the IP3 Area of Ipswich with activities such as shopping, collecting prescriptions and odd jobs. We also offer befriending to lonely residents currently by telephone but hopefully face to face at a later date. We will also be setting up work parties for larger jobs. The group also intends to promote community through events and we also have a hardship fund available where needed.
