Adoption Team Members

Description of the role:

We are exclusively looking for volunteers to form an adoption team.

Our cat adoption volunteers have a vital role within our branch; they insure that each cat/kitten is rehomed with the best possible match for them which involves various factors, household, environment, location, special needs of the cat etc making the process as easy and stress free for both people and our feline friends alike, advising new adopters of information such as introducing the adopted cat to its new home.

What can you expect to be doing? Initially responding to emails from people that have applied from our adverts for our cats/kittens followed up by telephone enquiries. Our official adoption email address on a daily basis, along replying to the emails we will expect you to keep the address up to date, and organised once dealt with. So a good knowledge of email use, and customer service is essential. You will also need I.T knowledge, as we use a database storage app to store all the information of our cats and kittens.

Our branch operates within the NR30 -35 postcode areas, so local knowledge is important. You will need to liaise with several of our branch volunteers within the branch; Admissions, Welfare, Fosterers and Publicity. Hours per week can be anything from 5 – 10 hours, during kitten season this can be considerably more.
