Next Generation Youth Volunteering

Are you a young volunteer?  Do you want to learn more about what Youth Volunteering is all about?

If you are just curious, then take a look at the opportunities that are on Volunteer Suffolk.  You will see what is on offer and how you can get involved.

Volunteering is like Work Experience in the sense that you go to a place that you feel you would be able to showcase your skills or even learn new ones in an organisation that needs your help.  It’s your chance to give something back to your local community and strengthen your confidence, resilience and skillset to increase your chances of getting into the world of work.

Organisations are regularly looking for Young / Youth Advocates, Trustees, Committee Members as well, so if you think this is for you then take a look. We are looking to work with organisations in Suffolk that are wanting to host and nurture young volunteers with opportunities that are dynamic, current and innovative to suit the changing volunteer landscape.

Here at Community Action Suffolk one of our main objectives is:

To raise the profile of Volunteering by inspiring the next generation of volunteers

  • To increase and promote the benefits and opportunities to individuals aged 14-25 years, and support this with legacy succession planning
  • To engage and collaborate with businesses and organisations to utilise digital technology to increase, and promote more volunteer opportunities
  • To encourage and support potential volunteers to find the right opportunities which are diverse, engaging and meaningful
  • Celebrate and highlight volunteers and their achievements, whether t it is based on formal or informal volunteering
